Bircan TaşlicaChairman of the Board
Bircan Taşlica is active in our association since 2019. 2020 he took on the position of consultant to the chairboard regarding cyber security and automotive. In april 2021 Mr. Taşlica was elected as third chairman.
Mr. Taşlica works as Product Support Manager for AD(A)S, Cybersecurity, and AI at DEKRA. Key tasks of his work are the development of new provisions of service in the V2x area (e.g. ADAS / cV2x / cyber security) for TÜVR as well as the promotion of international standardisation in the ADAS/AD sector.
Besides cooperating with DKE / BNetzA and EC/EU as a representative of ISAD he is responsible as such for ETSI TC Cyber.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Faouzi Derbelvice chairman
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Faouzi Derbel started his engagement as chairman for ISAD in november 2017. In april 2021 he was elected as new first chairman of the board.
He is working as a professor at the University of Applied Siences HTWK Leipzig. Within the faculty of Electrical Engineering Prof. Derbel holds the Chair of Smart Diagnostics and Online Monitoring.
Next to teaching he engages in research about electrical networks and smart grids / wireless sensor networks (WSN) and machine diagnostics among other things.
Besides cooperating with DKE / BNetzA and EC/EU as a representative of ISAD he is responsible as such for ETSI TG 28 / ETSI TG generic and network as well as the SRD sector in general.

Dr. Samim Ahmadichairman
Dr. Samim Ahmadi was elected to the Board of Directors in June 2025.
He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and earned his Ph.D. in Information Technology with a focus on AI.
His areas of expertise include the standardization, certification, implementation, and conformity assessment of cybersecurity measures in accordance with European legislation (e.g., CRA, RED, DORA, AI Act, NIS2). He has several years of experience in consulting and as a project manager in an international setting. Samim Ahmadi holds internationally recognized positions, such as that of Vice Chair of the European standards body ETSI TC CYBER for cybersecurity.
Through his work on this committee and his associated collaboration with the European Commission and other European standardization organizations, he has gained extensive knowledge and experience in the application and implementation of recognized national, European, and international regulations and standards in the field of cybersecurity.
Samim Ahmadi has given numerous presentations at conferences on cybersecurity, AI, standardization, and regulation; he organizes some of these conferences and has published a wide range of academic papers.
Florian Strakoschgeneral manager
Florian Strakosch (M. Sc.) took on the position of general manager for ISAD in november 2021.
He is a staff member of the EET | institute for electrical engineering at HTWK Leipzig.
There Mr. Strakosch works on the research on and development of machine diagnostics (condition / AI based) as well as energy self-sufficient radio sensor networks.
He is a general representative of our association and within the ISAD contact for all matters regarding communication, office management as well as oranizing and leading events and acitivities.

Olaf Schwab
senior consultant
Olaf Schwab is one of our founding members and has helped shaping the ISAD significantly as constant first chairman of the board for the last 18 years. In april 2021 he resigned from office and took on the job as treasurer as well as senior consultant to the chairboard.
Since 2004 he is working as an independent consultant (Kurze Welle / Schautec) for inter/national businesses offering support and solutions regarding data and audio radio matters.
He represents the ISAD in front of DKE / BNetzA and EU/EC as well as at ETSI TC TC Cyber / ERM / TC RRS and OCG/EMCDRED. Since march 2021 he is a member of the ETSI Special Task Force 592 regarding RED art. 3.3 and 4.
